SPRINGS
During the 1980’s Kato-Entex embarked on a programme to
revolutionise the roller shutter spring market. This was
achieved by a number of technical developments, not least being
the development of a computer program to model the operation of
any size of roller shutter. Being able to quantify the torque
values and the number of turns required was a major step towards
improving the counterbalance achieved, and this program quickly
led to the design and production of a comprehensive range of
roller shutter springs, which are available from stock. So
successful was this initiative, that within 12 months we were
one of the leading manufacturers of this type of product in the
UK, a situation that still prevails today.
This was further expanded by the launch of a range of springs
for the sectional overhead market.
